Energy, Stamina & Focus: Benefits of Cordyceps Mushroom

Cordyceps Mushroom (Cordyceps Militaris and Cordyceps Sinensis), known in old Chinese and Tibetan medical writings, is unique for its growth and health properties. Believed to increase energy and stamina, it's popular among athletes.

In traditional medicine, Cordyceps is valued for its adaptogenic properties, helping support the body's healthy stress response. It's increasingly included in supplements for its potential to enhance physical performance and energy levels.

What is the difference between Cordyceps Militaris and Cordyceps Sinensis?

Cordyceps Militaris and Cordyceps Sinensis have different profiles of bioactive ingredients. While both contain essential amino acids, polysaccharides, and cordycepin, the concentrations and types of these compounds vary between the two species. For instance, Cordyceps Militaris has been found to have a higher content of amino acids than Cordyceps Sinensis. Also, specific ingredients like cordycepic acid and certain polysaccharides are more abundant in one species compared to the other.

Cordyceps Militaris is easier to cultivate artificially compared to Cordyceps Sinensis. The latter is predominantly found in the wild and is known for its high price due to the challenging environmental conditions required for its growth. On the other hand, Cordyceps Militaris can be effectively grown in various artificial cultivation methods, such as solid culture, liquid culture, and using different substrates like silkworm pupae

We typically stock both an extract power (4:1) and dried, powdered Cordyceps mushroom powder. For specific in stock selections, please contact us. We primarily stock Cordyceps Militaris.
